About Xylitab®

Xylitol is a naturally occurring sweetener with equivalent sweetness to sugar. It is found in small quantities in many fruits and vegetables, and is even produced in the human body during normal glucose metabolism.

It has also been shown to reduce the amount of dental plaque and the numbers of caries-causative bacteria found in the plaque.

Danisco’s Xylitab^® family of patented granulates provides manufacturers with the convenience of directly compressible xylitol, allowing its benefits to be fully delivered in all types of tablets.

Four grades of Xylitab^® are available with different pharmaceutical or food approved binders. This allows producers to achieve a good range of mouthfeel, consistency and tablet hardness.
