In general, statements related to the prevention, treatment, cure or mitigation of disease (or symptoms of disease) are drug claims. Drug claims require pre-market approval and registration of the product in most, if not all, jurisdictions. Those related to reducing the risk of disease also require pre-market approval as health claims.
